You might think that this list would reflect the five best selling cars in the United States and you would be wrong. Many Americans buy the car that they can afford and reserve their ”best” moniker for other cars that they may perceive as luxury items.
This list is based on three industry related reports: a recent quality perception survey from ALG (an automotive analysis firm), J. D. Power’s consumer satisfaction report, and J.D. Power’s latest APEAL study. Each report evaluated data submitted by owners who purchased cars off the showroom new with new car loans or cash, but looked at different lengths of ownership and varying aspects of the data. Here are the top five rated automakers.
While Americans would love to see a domestic brand mixed in there, there is still a perception that quality is lagging behind these other brands. There is always next year. Car owners are a fickle bunch 🙂
