9 Diesel Vehicles That Will Keep Cash in Your Pocket

Not all fuel-efficient cars will save you money. In fact, due to the cost difference between the purchasing of a gas-powered model and one bursting with fuel-saving technology, it usually does not make financial cents to go with the greener of the two choices. However, this is not always the case. There are some diesel cars and trucks that will save a buyer/driver money.

Vincentric LLC, a research firm in Bingham Farms, Michigan, analyzed 11 commercial diesel vehicles and 12 consumer diesel vehicles and found that there are at least nine that make financial sense (spelled correctly here) when their five-year ownership costs are compared to the cost of buying and operating equivalent gas-powered models . The analysis assumed that the vehicles would be driven 15,000 miles a year.
