Foodtrucks have come a long ways from their gut-truck, microwaved-burrito days. Now, when a new foodtruck comes to a corner it often turns into an event that the in crowd lines up for. Heck, there is even a television show on the Food Network about food trucks.
Ally Financial is tapping into this ultra-cool market by teaming up with various retailers to help them use trucks, with or without food, to promote and sell its and their services and goods. Now, at least one industry observer (Mike Gibb) is calling for Ally to do away with the partnership and just launch its own fleet of financial service and lending trucks to spider across the nation to approve loans to those in the need of the cars, trucks and motorcycles.
